"As I contemplate doing a particular painting, a multitude of images and ideas begin racing through my mind - a myriad of colorful shapes and forms swirl through my head until I'm able to organize them in a somewhat orderly 'abstract' fashion. Only then can I start mixing and applying colors.
'Where do these mental images come from, you ask?'
I'm not exactly sure, to be quite honest. But there has never been a shortage of ideas for my paintings - at least not yet. I've not encountered a case of 'painters block' to this point in my life. So I'll continue painting.
Like most artists, I enjoy experimenting with various mediums. Beyond the traditional canvas, I often paint on different types of glass and plexiglass. Most recently I've become fond of painting on ceramic tile.But no matter which medium I'm using, the constant theme I employ is COLOR. Color is my expression of life. It is one of the primary reasons I paint - to give 'life' to my unique paintings and my individualistic style of painting."
